Tarot Arts is honored to host an intimate evening devoted to the magic, mystery, and medicine of oracle cards.
On May 2nd, Lorraine Anderson, Aja Daashuur, and Yumi Sakugawa will gather in conversation to explore the unique voice of oracle decks, the creative and spiritual process behind their creation, and the living relationship between artist, spirit, and reader.
Oracle decks carry image, archetype, intuition, and intention in deeply personal ways. This panel offers the community an opportunity to hear directly from three creators about how they commune with the unseen, how they alchemize inspiration into form, and how they believe their decks are best worked with in practice.
The discussion will explore:
• The distinct energetic presence of oracle decks
• The creative and spiritual process behind bringing a deck into the world
• How to cultivate an ongoing relationship with your cards
• The role of higher self and spirit within artistic devotion
• The evolving conversation with the unseen that informs both creativity and guidance
This is a thoughtful, connective evening designed for readers, creatives, collectors, and anyone curious about deepening their relationship with oracle as a spiritual tool.
Panelists
Lorraine Anderson is the bestselling creator of the Seasons of the Witch oracle series and author of The Witch’s Apothecary, among other titles in the spiritual space. Her work bridges seasonal wisdom, intuition, and practical spiritual living. Lorraine’s decks have supported readers around the world and she has been featured in The Daily Star, The Spruce, Reader’s Digest, Kindred Spirit, and Oprah Daily.
Aja Daashuur is a Spirit Guide Coach and medium known for her grounded and relational approach to working with the unseen. She teaches and leads retreats at the iconic Esalen Institute, Auberge Resorts, and The Well, and has been featured in Vogue, Architectural Digest, The LA Times, NPR, and The Cut. Her forthcoming oracle deck, Spirit Guide Portal (Weiser Books), invites therapeutic dialogue with one’s spiritual team, creating space for profound insight and breakthrough beyond traditional healing structures.
Yumi Sakugawa (she/they) is a second-generation Japanese-Okinawan-American interdisciplinary artist and author of several books including I Think I Am in Friend-Love With You, Your Illustrated Guide to Becoming One with the Universe, The Little Book of Life Hacks, and There Is No Right Way to Meditate. Their comics have appeared in The New Yorker, The Believer, Bitch, The Best American NonRequired Reading 2014, and The Rumpus. Their multimedia installations have been exhibited at the Smithsonian Arts & Industries Building, the Japanese American National Museum, and the Peabody Essex Museum.
