YONI: Sacred Rent-Tent with the Brujas of Brooklyn

YONI: Sacred Rent-Tent with the Brujas of Brooklyn

YONI: Sacred Rent-Tent with the Brujas of Brooklyn
August 26th 7pm-9pm

Yoni is the ancient Sanskrit word for “sacred space” and it also refers to our wombs, vaginas, popolas, pocketbooks...to us.

Come and activate Yoni power with the  Brujas of Brooklyn on August 26th, 2019 at Spirit House . “YONI:Sacred Rent-tent”is fashioned after a Red Tent; these were spaces where our female ancestors gathered to share the insight that was gained while they menstruated. Our foremothers knew the power of our blood and they therefore left us messages encoded in our DNA. We've forgotten - leading to irregular/painful menstrual cycles, uterine fibroids, attracting unavailable and/or toxic lovers and often feeling stuck in life. Yet through rituals like YONI we are now breaking cycles of ignorance to better access this information. Connecting to it provides insight on how to live healthy and empowered lives.

Kundalini Yoga grounds this ritual; breath work and mantras (sacred chants) are combined to provide an experience like no other. The goal is to help us release stagnant energy from within our bodies, specifically our wombs. We will also discuss various methods to help us tap into the power that lies within our Yonis. Come learn about: Yoni (or Jade) eggs, Yoni/Vaginal steams, menstrual cups, and various other healing methods.

Tending to our Yoni is not just about yearly pap smears or organic menstrual products. Come learn an array of simple and highly effective techniques to show your self some TLC. Your Yoni will thank you.

The Brujas of Brooklyn are Afro-Dominican identical twins, raised in Brooklyn, New York. They believe in the power of Spirit to cast spells that aid in collective healing. The Brujas of Brooklyn are healing generational traumas of gendered racism, which women of color often hold in our wombs, or Yonis- their craft is therefore dedicated to womb-healing, or what they call Woke Womb Work. Their YONIworkshops create safe spaces for women to release generations of pent us trauma.  The work that they do is inspired by the 7th generation principle among indigenous peoples across the Americas: the healing that takes place today will help to heal 7 generations before us and 7 generations after us. This is their wish.
